Santamobile

A festive 3D animation built around a sharp, low-poly vehicle silhouette — holiday mood, hard-surface modeling, and cinematic motion.

Overview

Santamobile is a holiday short created soon after the wave of futuristic wedge-shaped vehicle design entered pop culture. The concept plays with that geometry on purpose — a hard-surface form that feels like a low-poly sketch, but is treated as a complete, camera-ready vehicle.

The project combines hard-surface modeling, character-style rigging, and an atmospheric final scene: a stylized vehicle led by a low-poly reindeer team, drifting through volumetric clouds above Earth with dynamically changing night lights. It was created as a New Year greeting, primarily focused on tone, rhythm, and a bit of winter magic.

Vehicle Design

A hard-surface vehicle built around a crisp, angular silhouette — minimal, graphic, and intentionally low-poly in spirit. The design focuses on clear geometry and proportions that support both still images and motion.

Reindeer Rig System

A low-poly reindeer team designed to match the vehicle’s language, with a rig built for coordinated motion. Each reindeer has its own skeletal controls, plus a higher-level system that links the whole chain — so turns and direction changes travel smoothly from the front pair through the lineup and into the vehicle, creating a sense of shared inertia.

Final Scene Fragment

A short excerpt from the final holiday animation, showing the Santamobile and its reindeer moving through volumetric clouds within a stylized, cinematic setting. A bit of winter magic, designed to evoke a festive mood while showcasing the vehicle and character animation work.
